As I mentioned a couple of days ago, Laura and I were looking out for the red mugs at Starbucks, which signify that Christmas is well and truly on it’s way. These red beacons of Christmas contain festive beverages of joy and mark a shift in mine and Laura’s behaviour for the following two months.
Yesterday, they came back…

- Toffee nut latte
- BRAND NEW Praline mocha
- Our favourite, Eggnog latte
Laura and I met in town after work for a quick egg nog latte, the first of many! They were lush.

When we're together, every day's a snow day
I get a text at the start of November every year from a friend saying nothing more than “The red cups are coming!” It makes me simultaneously happy (Christmas!) and slightly depressed (in November!). 🙂
I love that – Don’t get depressed! I think little elements of Christmas encroaching in to November are fine, but I did go in to a clothes shop the other day (I think it was still October) and they were playing Christmas tunes. It felt a little uncomfortable and out of place.
Really wish I liked flavoured latte’s but I just like them plain and simple!

I think they’ll still give you the red cups. I love the flavoured ones, but they can make me a little nauseous if I drink them too quickly, which I undoubtedly do!
