I awoke this morning slightly hung over, but happy none the less. As I looked down at my left wrist I saw the smudged and fading, but unmistakable ‘Neighbours’ sign and smiled. I am not ashamed to admit that last night was one of the best nights of my life. Now, I have some simply awesome photos, which would really help to illustrate why this night was so incredible, but I still can’t upload them. I arrived at the pub downstairs about 7:15 and queued for a while to get in. I then went to the pub to claim my free drin and perched myself on one of the few remaining bar stools left. The room was packed, but then 2 girls, one Aussie, one from Nottingham came and sat next to me and we struck up a conversation. We were soon chatting about Neighbours and eagerly anticipating the arrival of the ‘stars’ of the show. Tonight we were going to have the opportunity to meet Steph Scully, Toadie and my all time favourite, Ned – it felt like destiny! After an hour and a half of waiting and drinking, Toadie, Steph and Ned burst through the doors next to us and the atmosphere was electric. After answering a few questions, all three characters began to circulate so we could have pictures with them. While waiting for our photo opportunity, there was a pub quiz. By this time they had opened up another area of the pub and we had relocated to a table, where another couple of girls sat with us and we formed the pub team ‘Nuclear Pussy.’ Between rounds we got our photos with Toadie and Steph, but still none with the elusive Ned. The quiz was drawing to an end and as they announed the results in reverse order, Ned appeared by our table. We were so hyped up by the quiz results, as our name had not yet been announced, that we were pretty much telling Ned to be patient until we heard our result. I was clasping hands with Elle, the girl from Mottingham when we were finally announced as the winners. Having never won a pub quiz before, I was so excited, I ran past Ned with Elle to claim tour prize from the stage. Five minutes later we had a victorious photo with Ned, who smells fantastic and has the peachiest bum, which I have a close up of. I kept trying to grab his ****, but one of his minders didn’t loo too impressed. We then watched Dr Karl’s band ‘Waiting Room,’ who were entertaining enough, sank a few more pints and then I returned bac upstairs to my hostel t watch the first half of the Socceroos match. Honestly, one of the best nights of my life!
